FAQ

The Ins And Outs of what we do!

  • Is there anything I need to do after my carpets are cleaned?
Post-Visit: While our truck-mounted vacuum system removes almost all of the moisture immediately, your carpet or upholstery may still be damp to the touch. Using fans in any rooms cleaned and turning your air conditioning or heating system on can help accelerate drying time. Be sure to leave the protective blocks under furniture legs and any paper used with upholstered items in place until the carpet and/or furniture is completely dry to avoid any color transfer. You may walk on your carpet immediately after cleaning, but avoid wearing street shoes, as they may re-soil your carpet. Be especially careful when walking from damp, carpeted areas on to non-carpeted areas to avoid slipping.
  • Anything we can do to prevent our carpets and furniture from getting so dirty?
Between Cleanings: The normal hustle and bustle of everyday life can take its toll on your carpet. To keep yours looking its best between professional cleanings, vacuum heavy traffic areas two to three times a week, and the rest of your carpet once a week. Using indoor and outdoor mats at each entrance can reduce the amount of dirt tracked into your home. Be sure to clean these periodically to ensure their utmost effectiveness.
  • Can I make my own at home spot remover?
In a pinch, make your own spot remover by mixing 1/4 teaspoon liquid detergent (without bleach) and 1 cup cold water. Vacuum frequently and thoroughly. Most of the wear of carpeting is caused by dirt. Oily soils attract more oily soil and frequent vacuuming will reduce soil buildup. Get at stains quickly, 99% of all stains can be removed by one cleaning agent or another if they are cleaned in the first few days. The longer a stain chemically reacts with the carpet the harder it will be to remove it. Test carpet before scrubbing, extracting or spotting. All carpets are different. Some carpets are very sensitive to acid type cleaners and will lose their color quickly. Other carpet dyes are sensitive to harsh alkalis.
  • Do you offer Mattress Cleaning?
Although we would not recommend using steam to clean your mattress, regularly vacuuming is suggested. If something spills on your mattress, urine or blood can be extracted from the furniture using our truck mounted machine. Call us for more information.
  • How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
Carpets collect everyday dirt and soil, it's reccommended to have your carpets cleaned every 18 months. This will maintain your carpets warranty.
  • Do you bring your own cleaning products and equipment?
Yes, we do bring everything needed to clean but your own toilet brush is required. I have always made this a regular standard practice when cleaning anyone's home. You also have the option of supplying your own items upon request.
  • Are you cleaning products environmentally friendly and natural?
Yes, we typically like to ensure all products will be environmentally friendly. Some of my products are not natural as you can't always get the same result. If you have a special request for us to use more natural products we will of course respect this decision.
  • How often should I schedule my cleaning?
There isn't a right or wrong answer to this, typically my clients will schedule every 2-3 weeks depending on how busy their home is. A busy family will likely schedule weekly where as a elderly person on their own will likely schedule every 3 weeks. The right amount of time in between is your preference. Please let us know if you need help determining what is right for you and your family.
  • What type of services do you provide?
We render a wide range of commercial and residential services, including regular janitorial services, regular house cleaning, post construction/renovation cleaning, and move in/move out cleaning. Our objective is to "Clean so you don't have to!"
  • What is a Flat Rate Cleaning Cost?
Our flat-rate cleaning service is a type of cleaning service where the cost is predetermined and remains the same regardless of the time it takes to complete the cleaning job. Unlike hourly-based services where you pay according to the number of hours worked, a flat-rate service provides a fixed price for the entire cleaning service. These services only apply to our move out cleans. In a flat-rate cleaning service, Fresh Services typically assesses the scope of the cleaning project and estimates the time and effort required to complete it. Factors such as the size of the space, the level of cleanliness needed, and any specific tasks or requests from the customer are taken into consideration. The advantage of our flat-rate cleaning service is that it provides transparency and predictability for our customers. You know upfront how much you will be charged for the cleaning service, which allows for better budgeting and eliminates any surprises when it comes to the final cost. While the time it takes to clean may vary depending on the specifics of the job, a flat-rate service does not adjust the price based on the actual duration of the cleaning process. This means that even if Fresh Services completes the job more quickly or takes longer than anticipated, the price remains the same. However, it's important to note that the flat-rate pricing is typically based on average cleaning times for similar tasks and properties. If there are significant deviations from the expected workload, such as excessive clutter or additional cleaning requirements discovered during the process, Fresh Services may discuss the need for additional charges or adjustments on a as needed basis. We will always discuss this with the client before moving ahead with additional cleaning.
